A few weeks ago, my grandfather asked me to take photos on his 80th birthday. Which was a beautiful and festive day surrounded by family and friends. What seemed like a simple request at the time soon proved to be invaluable. Just four days after this special day, my grandfather sadly passed away. Looking back, I realize how valuable those photos became, not only for me but for my entire family. It is the last images of him, smiling and enjoying himself, that are now a lasting memory of a beloved man. Photography for me has always been more than just a profession. Capturing moments, emotions and stories is something that deeply touches and fulfills me. This experience made me realize even more how beautiful and meaningful my work can be. The photos of my grandfather's birthday are now my most treasured possession and will forever hold a special place in my heart. This is what I do it for. To capture those precious moments that might otherwise be lost. To keep memories alive and connect people through images that speak without words.
